An ideal solution for dry, dehydrated skin in cold climates and harsh weather conditions. Dryness can accentuate the appearance of fine lines and lead to flaking. In challenging environments, when the skin barrier is compromised, the skin becomes especially vulnerable to environmental stressors, making barrier repair essential. To address this, Medik8 has created a formula with three types of hydrating ingredients: humectants, emollients and occlusives.
Humectants (hyaluronic acid, glycerin, NMF) act as moisture magnets in the upper layers of the skin, drawing water from deeper layers and the environment to the skin’s surface.
Emollients (squalene, ceramides, linoleic acid) mimic the skin’s natural lipids, easily penetrating the skin barrier to help restore its healthy structure.
Occlusives (dimethicone) are larger molecules that do not penetrate the skin, instead forming a protective barrier on the surface to lock in moisture.
The carefully balanced ratio of these ingredients helps restore the skin’s natural moisturising functions and delivers long-lasting, deep and even hydration.
